Oct.23.2008 Quote of the Day

Remember that black stripper who basically made up a story about the Duke lacrosse team raping her and everyone believed it because everyone hates Duke? Well, she has a book. Yes, I’m stunned she can write too.

In the book, [Krystal] Mangum says, “I want to assert, without equivocation, that I was assaulted. Make of that what you will. You will decide what that means to you because the state of North Carolina saw fit not to look at all that happened the night I became infamous.”

Why does she have to be a “black” stripper?? Why cant she just be “a” stripper?

Because the main reason her case got taken seriously was the racial divide of Duke versus the county the case was prosecuted in. Look, I hate Duke and I hate white rich kid entitlement, but race was absolutely a driving factor in that situation.

And also I like descriptive adjectives. What if people were like, “wait, which stripper” but by saying “black” they can go “Ohhhhh that makes sense.”
