Sep.19.2007 Armless guy has deadly headbutt
I’m not sure if this is News to Amuse per se, but any time an armless man kills another guy with a headbutt, it has to be at least moderately amusing. IT HAS TO.
Police are investigating the death of a man who collapsed after he was head-butted by an armless man in a fight over a woman. Snellville Police Chief Roy Whitehead said the two men, Charles Keith Teer and William Russell Redfern, scuffled Monday afternoon in the driveway of a suburban Atlanta home.
Police say Redfern, who was born with no right arm and only a short stump for his left arm, kicked Teer and Teer hit Redfern during the fight, which was due to long-standing bad blood over a woman who once dated Teer and now dates Redfern.
Known by the nickname “Rusty,” Redfern made a name for himself in the late 1980s for pen and ink drawings he does using his foot.
I’m not sure what I’m more impressed by: the fact that Rusty killed a man despite a complete lack of arms OR that he somehow stole a woman away from a fully functional man. A man that could touch her. Hell, Rusty can’t even pull her hair during sex…he’d have to gnaw at it like a dog to simulate that effect.
And oh man if Rusty ends up going to jail for this, I worry. Sure, he was able to headbutt and kill this one guy. But a guy with no arms in jail? Seems pretty rapeable! Plus, it’d be hard to headbutt a larger prison friend when he’s behind you. So I hear.
