Jun.20.2007 New study on Russian men says half of them will die due to alcohol
You always hear the stereotypes, but man, how much are these Russians drinking? According to a study done by the “London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine” (a school that was my second choice amongst those excelling in both Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), half of working aged Russians are expected to die due to excessive alcohol intake. Please note the translated title of the article, German “Kill Russians”, a perfect title for a study.
“The work that we had done, [mostly] toxicology. Many of these products [are] nothing but water, ethanol and additives for the smell. People are dying of high alcohol concentration [in] cheap and accessible form[s],” says the head of a team of scientists, Professor David Leon.
Researchers found that more than 40% of the men had alcohol [inside of them] not designed for [consumption].
The report on the results of the study indicated that these products are readily available, cheap and contain up to 97% alcohol.
So not only are half of Russians alcoholics, they are too poor for even cheap vodka and willing to drink, I don’t know…Pine Sol’s Russian equivalent, Одеколоны трудоспособного возраста России, утверждают авторы исследования результаты которого опубликованы SOL? Draino? Embalming fluid? Yikes.
