Feb.13.2007 George Bush gives an FU to Kanye
For those that say George Bush doesn’t care about Black people, he says, “I do, but only in the month of February!” That’s why he invited the Subway Superman (also known as that crazy Black dude who saved a seizing kid from an oncoming train).
“We thank you for your courage. We thank you for your commitment to a life of a stranger. What a wonderful example you set for young and old, black, white, anybody in the United States of America,” Bush said…
Other White House honorees included baseball greats Jim “Mudcat” Grant, Ferguson Jenkins and current Florida Marlins star Dontrelle Willis.
Also singled out were Rep. Charles Rangel (D-Manhattan), the first black chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and Condoleezza Rice (Ed note: CONDI!), the first black woman to be secretary of state.
Bush also honored Sylvester Croom, of Mississippi State University, the Southeastern Conference’s first black head football coach.
So yes, George Bush does care about Black people. In fact, he has many Black friends. See? Look at all of them. Subway Superman is even going to kiss him. You think a guy that doesn’t like Black people would let one kiss him? No! And that’s why he’s the leader of our America.
The choice of Black people is kind of all over though. Random Negro league pitchers, Dontrelle Willis, Condi, some Representative, totally all over the board. He should have just brought in the Ying Yang Twins, did a little jig with them, and moved on. They say that a group is only as strong as its weakest link, so that seems like a perfectly fitting Black History Month celebration.
