A fight broke out between 30 women in Los Angeles, killing one pregnant woman and leaving another in critical condition.
Unique Bishop, 21, fled but turned herself into authorities and was booked for investigation of murder, police said. She is being held on $1 million bail.
Police said the cause of the dispute is unclear, but was part of a planned confrontation between two groups of women in their early 20s. Witnesses told police they saw women shout at each other and fighting at a parking lot for a discount store. The fight then moved its way onto the street and into a gas station.
Police believe the fight involved only women, which was “very unusual,” said police Cmdr. Pat Gannon.
“We have seen women around gangs before, but we haven’t seen anything like this event before,” he said.
I might be a bit of a misogynist because when I read the headline, I immediately assumed a fight broke out at a mall over shoes or something. I rubbed my hands together and thought, “Oh boy, gonna make me some good ol’ ‘women be shoppin’ jokes.” But it wasn’t to be.
Am I also not surprised that one of the women had a name like Unique? Call me crazy, but I’m thinking these weren’t Westwood girls fighting. I’m thinking these were a bunch of Shoppers. Damn Shoppers with their braided hair and pimped out cars, always starting problems. They always get all Shopper Rich and blow their money on things like drugs and new shoes. And don’t even get me started on Shoppers and their children born out of wedlock.
Dog the Shopper Hunter would totally be all over this.
