Jul.05.2007 I may have the oddest ads in history
Okay seriously, I usually don’t discuss stuff related to the business of this site that much. Needless to say, I’ve made enough for a large cheeseburger in this site’s existence (and can’t cash it out because of AdSense’s check amount limitations…so I cannot has cheezburger).. But recently, we made the call to put some ads on Room Tone and I was impressed at the ads that site gets. It gets make-up companies (probably because of all the female visitors), Delta, swimsuit companies, you know…legitimate companies. Meanwhile, what did I see as our homepage ad today?
That’s right. Bigcupid.com. A site for guys to find Big Beautiful Women. This really isn’t a slight against Big Women because, frankly, I enjoy my status of not being eaten. But like, the hell dude? Are you people reading this out there into big girls? Is there something I don’t know? Is it all my fat jokes? Do they think I’m metaphorically pulling the pig tails (loldoubleentendre) of these women of larger carriage? It’s boggling my mind.
Needless to say, I’m looking for a new ad provider. Anyone out there looking for some ad space? Preferably not for your Fat Woman Date Then Murder service called LovethenSlaughterthePig.com? Let me know…tips AT blogofhilarity.com.
Oh and this isn’t even touching on the fact that another BBW Kelly Clarkson, whom I’ve been calling fat and untalented for quite some time, is now being advertised on the top of the page. Hey Adsense, how about you learn how to account for tone? Bastards.
That’s okay, for the past few days Google has been pairing ESPN ads with ads for Sexual Harassment Training in the same ad space on my site. Coincidence? I think not.
Something tells me that Woody Paige would really appreciate BigCupid.com.
