Jan.23.2008 Pick-up Artistry with Neil Strauss
You folks know by now that I’m an interested observer of the world of pick-up artists (never an applier though…never), so of course I’m keeping an eye on the douchebaggery going on at The Game author Neil Strauss’ MySpace. This week, it’s a speed round challenge between David Faustino of Married with Children fame and that dude from Parker Lewis Can’t Lose who, ironically, is the loser in all of these pick-up artist videos.
I get the principles behind this video. No fear in approaching ladies (or dudes as the case may be), but what I don’t get is why Neil Strauss is dressing like a gay Morpheus in order to tutor these two. And why are they shaving his head as punishment? Is this a ritual for pick-up artists that wasn’t included in his book? Is that why my lady-boning prowess is slipping: not enough shaving of men? I guess that makes sense. If you see me in the streets of NYC running around with a razor, watch out! I’m going to steal your manly essence with my Shaver of Lady-Porking Destiny.
