Jan.16.2008 People don’t like clowns

I was going to do a full post on this, but Best Week Ever already did a way more thorough job of it. So instead, I’ll tell you all a story of my youth. When I was like four years old, a McDonald’s opened up near me. I imagine this was a bigger deal then than it is now because there was a huge to-do about the opening, including a grand opening party. Many celebrities came out, including Mayor McCheese, Grimace, and Ronald McDonald himself. Yes, the heir to the McDonald’s fortune showed up in the Bronx for this one event. Which is really a testament to his dedication.

Anyway, after receiving a toy whistle which was shaped like a McDonaldland train (apparently transportation is a key point of pride in McDonaldland. Who knew?), Ronald McDonald went to pick me up. And I swatted at him and cried, demanding to be freed from his evil clown clutches. Then I presume he touched me inappropriately, but I must have blocked that part of my memory out. Point being: A study came out that confirms that clowns are indeed scary. And also, f*ck clowns. [Best Week Ever]
